Klevgrand’s Richter Tectonic Compressor is Now FREE for a Limited Time

Production Expert and Klevgrand are currently offering Klevgrand’s Richter Tectonic Compressor (normally $70) for free.

Richter is a macOS and Windows release for AAX, AU, VST, and VST3.

Production Expert announced the giveaway in a post dated March 15, 2025. The company didn’t list an end date for the giveaway, but as the plugin is still listed at full price on Klevgrand’s website, we can assume the freebie probably won’t be available forever.

Once you create an account, an email from Klevgrand should arrive immediately, which you’ll need to use to validate your account.

After you sign into your account, use the code “hAIgShT5nYlpQ64tP” to redeem the free plugin on the giveaway page.

You’ll then be issued a license key and download links on your Klevgrand dashboard, which you can use to activate the plugin in your DAW.

Klevgrand released Richter in May 2023, so it’s a pretty plum deal to score such a recent plugin for free.

Richter is designed to produce “superheavy” compression with minimal artifacts.

Klevgrand experimented with ways to achieve this goal, and implemented an unconventional control scheme for a compressor to achieve it.

The plugin has a single control, Amount, to determine how much compression is applied.

You can then use the Transients dial to determine how the internal envelope follows reacts to transients.

Klevgrand also included a preset manager, Boost switch, Makeup gain, Bass, Treble, and Dry/Wet dial.

The Dry/Wet dial is a key feature, as it allows users to get creative in using the plugin’s heavy compression as a distinct effect while still retaining the body of the original signal.
